Now accepting electronic Plastic Declaration Documents
S
CPHA is now able to accept electronic notifications of Plastic Declaration Documents (PDDs), eliminating the need for importers to submit signed PDDs as hardcopies.
The change has resulted in new processes importers must follow in order to facilitate controlled plastic kitchenware imports at the Port of Felixstowe. A spokesperson explained:
“To notify us of consignments subject to controls, please email edocs@scpha.gov.uk and specify the container / trailer number and estimated arrival date in the subject line.
“All documents submitted electronically must be in colour and PDF format. Please understand that any documentation which isn’t submitted accurately may incur delays.”
PDD notifications should be raised through the PHILIS DES system at https://des.philis.co.uk/login/login. Once the declaration has been saved and submitted, the following documents must then be emailed to edocs@scpha.gov.uk as a colour PDF:
- PDD (hard copy no longer required)
- Test report(s)
- Bill of lading
- Invoice
- Packing List
Please note SCPHA will be unable to complete its checks without all of the above documentation, and the consignment(s) in question may be delayed.
