PHILIS DES update expands IUU notifications

More options will be available for agents and importers when creating Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing notifications within the PHILIS Document Entry System (DES).

The following updates will be implemented during a scheduled downtime of PHILIS DES on Thursday, 31 August between 14:00 and 15:00 BST.

Recording trailer numbers

Agents and importers will now be able to record trailer numbers within the ‘Container’ tab of IUU notifications.

Trailer numbers must be entered using the format [Unit ID] [space] [Trailer ID], with only letters, numbers and spaces permitted to prevent invalid special characters.

Expanding Article 14

‘Storage document’ and ‘Processing statement’ will become options under ‘Certificate type’ for IUU notifications to record Article 14 (1) and Article 14 (2) separately.

The two new categories replace the previous ‘Article 14’ option, with agents and importers asked to list the documents accompanying their consignments accordingly.
