UPDATES ON PRODUCTS REQUIRING A CHED-D AND OTHER DOCUMENTATION
Please be informed that our ‘List of products requiring a CHED-D‘ has recently been updated following a change in legislation (The Official Controls (Import of High-Risk Food and Feed of Non-Animal Origin) (Amendment of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1793) (England) Regulations 2024).
All listed products from our ‘List of products requiring a CHED-D‘ page must be accompanied by a CHED-D along with other relevant documentation such as health certification and the results of sampling and analysis. Further details about import controls can be found here.
Important Information:
- A CHED-D and commercial documents (bill of lading, packing list and invoice) are required for all the products listed in Annex I and Annex II which have a vessel arrival date into Felixstowe/Harwich of 7th March 2024 onwards.
- For products that have moved from Annex I to Annex II or are new to Annex II an original health certificate and copy test report will also be required.
SCPHA will only require these documents for consignments which leave the country of origin on or after 7th March 2024. A CHED-D and commercial documents will still be required for those consignments with a vessel arrival date into Felixstowe/Harwich of 7th March 2024 onwards.
Products affected by this will be: Enoki mushrooms from China and South Korea, Spice mixes from Pakistan, Vine leaves from Egypt and Peanut paste from Egypt, The Gambia, Ghana, India and Sudan. Dried chilli products from India will require a test report for pesticide residues in addition to aflatoxins.
- For products that have been removed from the lists SCPHA will no longer require a CHED-D to be submitted for arrivals into Felixstowe/Harwich after 6th March 2024. This applies to Hazelnuts from Turkey only.
