SCPHA statement on proposed strike action at the Port of Felixstowe
Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority (SCPHA) is closely monitoring proposed strike action between 27 September and 5 October at the Port of Felixstowe, while liaising with the port to mitigate any disruption to our services and the supply chain.
The likely impact of the strike action is yet to be seen. However, SCPHA will be available to examine any goods that are presented to us for inspection.
SCPHA appreciates importers’ patience over the coming days as our team members work to continue protecting public and animal health by performing checks on imported foodstuffs.
Please contact PR & Communications Officer Angus Shaw with any questions, queries or concerns about the proposed strike action.
