Guidance and Engagement Opportunities for Businesses Affected by Upcoming EU IUU Requirements

The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) is issuing an update regarding the forthcoming EU 2026 changes to Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing regulations, which are expected to affect UK importers and re-exporters. The organisation recognises that many businesses may be seeking further clarity on these changes and their potential impact.

The SLO team will provide guidance and respond to queries as information becomes available.

Industry Engagement Sessions
To support the sector in preparing for these regulatory changes, the MMO is hosting a series of online engagement sessions designed for importers and re-exporters. These sessions will provide an overview of the changes and outline what businesses need to do to comply.
